An English-language variation of the channel was initially launched in 1994 across Europe and was subsequently renamed Discovery Home and Leisure and afterwards Discovery Real Time as portion of Discovery's slate of themed channels. TLC Balkans was also launched on October 1, 2010, replacing the European variation of the "Travel & Living Channel" in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and North Macedonia.
