On December 18, Reddit took a criticized action of banning a subreddit, "SonyGOP", that was staying used to distribute hacked Sony files. Reddit basic supervisor Martin afterwards issued an apology for this habits, criticizing the "on-line witch hunts and dangerous speculation" that took place on the website.
