The principal U.S. agency charged with checking human trafficking is the State Department’s Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons (also termed the trafficking place of work). The principal aim of the TVPA is to give protection and guidance to trafficking victims, to encourage international reaction, and to provide guidance to overseas international locations in drafting antitrafficking applications and legislation.
