A radial highway network totals 29,145 miles (46,904 km) of most important streets, 2,173 miles (3,497 km) of motorways and 213,750 miles (344,000 km) of paved streets. Chile has about 82,000 km of roads, 20,000 km of which are paved, and about 2,000 km are divided highways. In 1950 there were being almost certainly much less than 20,000 non-white citizens in Britain, almost all born overseas.
