A participant-observation study of April Fools' Day 2017 social experiment on r/spot determined top-down and bottom-up coordination mechanisms, guidelines and emergence, and analyse their relative influence on the collaboratively produced artwork, revealing cooperation and conflict, making use of qualitative and quantitative solutions.
