And to the victims of their abuse, I want to say what I have eventually been able to realize myself: that my attraction, and what it led to, was not my fault. I did not want to fly residence early simply because I understood my mom would have questions, so I stayed in Jamaica for the remaining handful of times of my scheduled visit, the darkest of my daily life.
