The U.S. Embassy in Ankara explained US forces hit ISIL targets overnight around Turkey's border with Syria working with HIMARS situated in Turkey. On 6 July, as a consequence of the Southern Syria offensive, which had begun in June, the Syrian Army backed by Russian forces attained the border with Jordan and captured the Nasib Border Crossing.
