He immigrated to the United States from Quezon City, Philippines, when he was 23. His system was to travel to Chicago to research medication, but through a stopover in Los Angeles to stop by a sister and friends from the Philippines, he improved his thoughts. He labored for much more than forty years as an X-ray specialist, ultimately getting to be head administrator of the radiology office at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
