On 16 July 390 BC, a Gallic army underneath the management of tribal chieftain Brennus, fulfilled the Romans on the financial institutions of the Allia River ten miles north of Rome. The metropolis of Rome grew from settlements all-around a ford on the river Tiber, a crossroads of targeted visitors and trade. This triggered a problem, in that Rome came to have a huge male populace but was bereft of women of all ages.
