Mine was red, and I assume my Mom even now has it (and I'm 41!). Also, the Burger Chef on the East Side, the fountain out entrance of Capron Park doing the job, the A&P on Pleasant Street, when I lived on Snell Street having the bonfires up at Water Tower Hill (Ides's Hill) and sliding down that ice-lined hill 'till midnight. I consider they are processional.
