Jungle exotica was a Hollywood generation, with its roots in Tarzan motion pictures (and even more back again to William Henry Hudson's novel Green Mansions). When American servicemen returned residence after the conclude of World War II in 1945, they introduced with them stories and souvenirs from their time in the South Pacific that served to boost the recognition of what Hollywood experienced set the stage for Donn Beach to create.
