The gravamen of Hawley’s attack is that, in seven circumstances involving boy or girl pornography offenders, Jackson sentenced these offenders to much less jail time than federal sentencing rules advised. And, in Hawkins’s case, the prosecution, the protection, probation officers, and in the end Jackson all agreed that the guidelines’ recommended sentencing assortment was substantially way too high.
