After a 1976 tour, Townshend took a calendar year-extensive split from the band to concentration on paying time with his household. Townshend took to trashing his lodge suites, while not to the extent of his bandmate Moon. Townshend was nominated for an Academy Award for scoring and adapting the music in the movie.
