Almost just about every important character launched in the Devil May Cry collection is a badass, while it is really generally justified by them having supernatural powers. Angels and demons by themselves are quite badass, with the former working with advanced futuristic engineering although the latter employs eldritch abominations alongside the legions of Hell (even though they are reasonably very easily slash down by the protagonists).
