An English-language version of the channel was initially released in 1994 throughout Europe and was subsequently renamed Discovery Home and Leisure and afterwards Discovery Real Time as portion of Discovery's slate of themed channels. TLC Balkans was also introduced on October 1, 2010, replacing the European version of the "Travel & Living Channel" in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and North Macedonia.
