In its first week of launch, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy debuted at primary on the US Billboard 200 and sold 496,000 copies, eventually registering three million models for a triple platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). It grew to become the first Christmas album by a male artist to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and offered 210,000 copies in its first week of release.
