The lifting of semiconscious Katniss by an equipment connected to a ship mimics the scene of Neo remaining rescued from the sewers of the Machine City. In the scene "Baby Machine", the creepy children's choir sings "crimson products, blue pills" in direct reference to Neo's selection in the Matrix. Numerous references to the Matrix trilogy franchise involves the red & blue tablet alone.
