In 2020 manga revenue topped the ¥600 billion mark for the 1st time in background, beating the 1995 peak thanks to a quick expansion of the electronic manga marketplace which rose by ¥82.7 billion from a preceding calendar year, surpassing print manga income which have also elevated. As of January 2020 manga is the 2nd biggest group in the US comedian e-book and graphic novel current market, accounting for 27% of the total industry share.
