He is then blackmailed by his father-in-legislation, who has just murdered a prostitute, and a fellow officer, who had aided protect up the criminal offense (which the CSIs are investigating). The really awful aspect is that she applied her power over her mentally unwell son to power him to cover up the murder of his lover.
