The Hurricane (1999) ★★★ Denzel Washington, Vicellous Reon Shannon. Though he had largely wonderful items to say about Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea and his critiques were pretty minor, his one genuine criticism about the film was the Sosuke's mother's blatant neglect for his protection thanks to her ridiculously harmful driving and her abandoning him all through a hurricane.
