On sixteen July 390 BC, a Gallic army below the leadership of tribal chieftain Brennus, met the Romans on the banking institutions of the Allia River 10 miles north of Rome. The town of Rome grew from settlements all over a ford on the river Tiber, a crossroads of website traffic and trade. This caused a difficulty, in that Rome arrived to have a significant male population but was bereft of ladies.
