In 1995 the Unification Movement connected organization the Women's Federation for World Peace indirectly contributed $3.5 million to aid Baptist Liberty University which at that time was in fiscal issue. The American Baptist Churches in the U.S.A, the National Council of Churches, the National Black Catholic Clergy Caucus, and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference filed briefs in aid of Moon.
