Michele Clapton was the costume designer for Game of Thrones' to start with five seasons just before she was replaced by April Ferry. Clapton returned to the series as its costume designer for the seventh period. HBO announced in June 2016 that the eighth time would be the remaining for the collection. Following the collection finale, HBO introduced in April 2019 a new exhibition and tourist attraction made up of show props and set parts.
