The club created Berckmans seven several years back, behind a wall of greenery southwest of the fifth fairway, to give favored patrons and corporate good friends a sumptuous refuge from the elements and the throngs, and presumably to capture some of the earnings it experienced been ceding to off-campus entertainments.
