After a 1976 tour, Townshend took a yr-extensive break from the band to target on spending time with his loved ones. On tour, the band played the album together to pre-recorded backing tapes, producing substantially friction. Entitled Quadrophenia, it was the only Who album penned entirely by Townshend, and he produced the album as nicely thanks to the souring of relations with Lambert.
