Though not nicely identified in the U.S., Czech animation has a prolonged, prosperous heritage. We can ultimately thank Ward for everyone’s preferred Scottish ogre as very well as for a host of later fairy-tale twists, such as Jon Scieszka’s award-successful postmodern children’s e book, The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales.
