In February 1997, he pleaded responsible to possession of a handgun and was ordered to document 3 community company announcements, conduct 800 hours of neighborhood services, pay a $1,000 good, and serve a few years' probation. In April 2007, he was given a 3-yr suspended sentence, 5 years' probation, and 800 hours of community company following pleading no contest to two felony rates of drug and gun possession by a convicted felon.
