This was comedy gold in 1964. The 2nd season finds the clearly show finding a great deal lighter in its approach, with Herman (the late, underrated Fred Gwynne) downplaying his daunting stature and starting to be a lot more childlike, even though the crafting dropped some of its satirical chunk.
