The Left Bank, or Rive Gauche, team is a contingent of filmmakers related with the French New Wave, initial determined as such by Richard Roud. In France, the General Strike centered in Paris in May 1968 united French students, and almost toppled the government. The American Indian Movement (or Aim) is a Native American grassroots movement that was established in July 1968 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
