The huge bears contend with 3 or four dogs, and sometimes one is victorious and often the other the bears are ferocious and of terrific strength, and not only defend them selves with their tooth, but hug the dogs so closely with their forelegs, that, if they were not rescued by their masters, they would be suffocated.
