An individual that provides both equally types of gametes is a hermaphrodite. Sex is the trait that determines whether a sexually reproducing animal or plant makes male gametes or woman kinds. In humans and other mammals this male organ is the penis, which enters the female reproductive tract (called the vagina) to accomplish insemination-a procedure referred to as sexual intercourse.
