In the manga adaptation of Matsuribayashi-hen, Miyoko Tanashi vomits on encountering a flashback to her time in an Orphanage of Fear, when she was forced to cleanse a filthy latrine with her mouth. At minimum in the anime version of Matsuribayashi-hen, Shion refuses to hand over an AK-47 assault rifle to Keiichi, remarking tongue-in-cheek that they would get rid of a good deal of time if they test to educate the latter how to use it.
