Feminism attained more currency in just the protest movements of the late nineteen sixties, as girls in movements such as Students for a Democratic Society rebelled from the "help" position they considered they had been consigned to within the male-dominated New Left, as perfectly as in opposition to perceived manifestations and statements of sexism within some radical teams.
