College Board reported it would discontinue the essay area for the reason that "there are other approaches for pupils to show their mastery of essay creating," including the test's looking through and writing part. In addition, learners obtain two percentile scores, each of which is described by the College Board as the share of college students in a comparison group with equivalent or decreased check scores.
