Nothing. There was a fete--a grand fete in honor of some saint who had been instrumental in examining the cholera three hundred yrs in the past, and all Venice was abroad on the h2o. In a couple minutes we swept gracefully out into the Grand Canal, and less than the mellow moonlight the Venice of poetry and romance stood disclosed.
