Nexium, an antacid and a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), is used for treatment of esophageal reflux disease, stomach ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, prevention of gastric ulcers caused by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and treatment of duodenal ulcers.
