Despite quite a few peace treaties, unrest ongoing in Scotland until finally Henry's dying. The Scottish Regent Lord Arran agreed to the marriage in the Treaty of Greenwich on 1 July 1543, but it was rejected by the Parliament of Scotland on eleven December. On 28 July 1540 (the exact same working day Cromwell was executed), Henry married the youthful Catherine Howard, a very first cousin and girl-in-waiting around of Anne Boleyn.
