The Republican leadership of the New York State Senate expressed assistance for the 9 non-abortion-linked planks of the Women's Equality Act, but objected to the Reproductive Health Act and expressed unwillingness to permit a vote on it. In 2015, the non-abortion-connected Women's Equality Act payments passed both equally properties of the State Legislature.
