Pee-wee's voice originated in 1970 when Reubens appeared in a production of Life with Father, where he was solid as just one of the most obnoxious people in the engage in, for which Reubens adopted a cartoon-like way of speaking that would grow to be Pee-wee's. Gilgamesh in specific feels this way to Rider, even awarding him with inner thoughts of geniune admiration (in the mild novel, at least) on his loss of life.
