Wood made and directed the horror film Bride of the Monster (1955, at first titled Bride of the Atom or The Monster of the Marshes), primarily based on an original story thought by Alex Gordon which he had at first known as The Atomic Monster. Toronto Standard called it a "dollar-retail outlet Star Wars" and as opposed it to the operates of Ed Wood.
