All Target retailers in the United States use plastic carts with metallic frames. Target is the only national retailer using a Garment Hanger reuse program, which keeps hundreds of thousands of kilos of steel and plastic out of landfills. In 2007, this application prevented 434 million hangers from getting into landfills.
