In accordance with the Charter for Budget Responsibility, as is mandated for the first fiscal function of the Parliament, the OBR has formally assessed paying towards the welfare cap in its ‘Economic and fiscal outlook’. Performance towards the cap will be formally assessed by the OBR at the 1st fiscal party of the future Parliament.
