The Republican leadership of the New York State Senate expressed assist for the nine non-abortion-associated planks of the Women's Equality Act, but objected to the Reproductive Health Act and expressed unwillingness to allow for a vote on it. In 2015, the non-abortion-related Women's Equality Act costs handed both of those properties of the State Legislature.
