The variation is that what is "Haram" in their terminology is that which is recognized definitively, although the evidence for one thing labelled "Makruh Tahrimi" is not definitive (e.g. it is based mostly on a Hadith that is Khabar Ahad.) "Makruh Tahrimi" really should not be baffled with what other schools generally refer to as Makruh - which in the Hanafi faculty is known as "Makruh Tanzihi" (Categorically Disliked).
