Similar to equine assisted therapy is canine assisted therapy. There are many physiological and psychological benefits of partnering with animals. As a result of creating a bond with an animal during therapy, patients have seen decreases in stress levels, decreases in blood pressure, and an overall improvement in their social functioning.
