Pee-wee's voice originated in 1970 when Reubens appeared in a production of Life with Father, in which he was solid as 1 of the most obnoxious figures in the play, for which Reubens adopted a cartoon-like way of talking that would become Pee-wee's. Gilgamesh in individual feels this way toward Rider, even awarding him with inner thoughts of geniune admiration (in the light-weight novel, at the very least) upon his death.
