I sai, seriously, you Americans have such a jolly queer language. To the uninitiated it appears absurd to hear gentlemen and women addressing servants and retailers in the identical idiotic language with which fond mom and dad typically cuddle their offspring but even far more laughable is it to hear guys swear in "pigeon English," at an unkind or unruly servant.
