The internal combustion motor was a technological marvel in its day, but worthless as a customer superior right up until a clutch, transmission, steering wheel and throttle were connected to it. So the GUI has gone past getting an interface to personal pcs, and become a type of meta-interface that is pressed into company for each individual new piece of buyer technology.
