The scholar of American experiments Annie Kelly argued that the alt-appropriate was influenced by a pervasive "discourse of anxiety about conventional white masculinity" in mainstream U.S. In February 2018, the Southern Poverty Law Center assembled a listing of thirteen violent incidents involving 2014 and 2018 perpetrated by alt-correct influenced individuals, in which 43 folks died and sixty seven men and women were being wounded.
