"Sora" is normally translated as "sky", and the kanji employed to generate it is also translatable as "air" or "vacant". "Mimikaki" is a device for cleansing out earwax, and the two kanji applied to write it can be translated as "ear" or "edge", and "scratch", "scrape, or "sounds" respectively.
